digiKidz™ 2011 : Important Information

1). digiKidz™ is a co-ed technology camp offering a variety of programs: Digital film-making, Stop Motion Animation, LEGO® Robotics, Game Design and Advanced Film making. For the younger kids we have Junior LEGO® Robotics and Motion and Junior Digital Experience.

2). digiKidz™ 2012 runs for 6 weeks: July 9th - August 17th, 2012

3). All regular sessions run for 5 days and are 1/2 day in length. Parents can choose a 1/2 days or a full day, by combining sessions. If children attend a full day, lunchtime supervision is provided at no cost.

4). Each 1/2 day week-long session is $220. If attending 2 sessions, (a full day), cost is only $335 NOTE: for week 5 only ( August 6-10), due to the Monday Civic Holiday, 1/2 day session is $180, full day for the week is $280. All costs include the 13% HST. Contact digiKidz™ for information on family discounts for children attending more than one week when payment is received by May 31st.

5). Junior LEGO Robotics and Motion and Junior Digital Experience are full day week long sessions, open to children ages 6-9 years of age only. The cost of each is $335. Advanced Film making is a full day session offered in week 6 and is geared to ages 9-14.

6). All sessions are held in a classroom setting at the Sheridan College campus, located on Trafalgar Road, Oakville, Ontario. (Trafalgar Road and Upper Middle Road. See map located at the bottom of the page).

7). Completed application forms must be accompanied by full payment in order to secure a place. All cheques are payable to digiKidz™ . Please mail your cheque and application form to:

8). Once full payment is received, an email confirming the placement is sent. Placement is conditional on available space. digiKidz™ has the right to cancel any session at any time. Full refunds will be given to customers.

9). Children are expected to work collaboratively and to follow the Tribes Agreement of Mutual Respect and No Put Downs. Inappropriate behavior contrary to the Tribes Agreement may result in a child being asked to leave. No refund will be given in this case. No refund is given for campers who decide to withdraw from the program, either before or during the session.

10). There are no prerequisites to take most sessions (except Advanced Film making and Advanced Robotics sessions). ??

11). digiKidz™ provides all necessary equipment. Students are asked to bring in small props as part of their projects during the course of the camp and a USB memory stick to load their projects at the end of the Film, Stop Motion Animation and Game Design sessions. Children may bring their own laptops and camcorders, but accept all responsibility for them while at the camp.
